Hey Flyy Girl! So happy to have you here with us! You’re obviously highly successful within your career at this point, but we know achieving anything great takes a lot of pivoting before finally getting success. Would you mind giving our viewers some insight into a moment that shaped you into the woman you are today? *

Hello my name is Alieshia and I a recent Masters graduate, a podcaster and a travel vlogger. I feel like a lot of moments shaped me into the woman I am today. When I was younger I got to experience the world through travel and learn about people and cultures. I love to be apart of my community whether it’s through volunteering or being a resource for the next generation.

Being as involved as you are with social media and the makeup world how do you prioritize? What is a typical schedule for you on a day to day basis?

Well since I graduated it’s a little different now, I just work and then when I get home I either work on editing videos for YouTube or creating content for Instagram. I usually am brainstorming about ideas and videos for my new projects.

Clearly, you’re already very multifaceted in terms of your interests and commitments, but is there anything else you’re looking to get into?

I am working on my YouTube channel (AlieshiasAdventure) also content for my podcast Millennial Thoughts.

What has been the key to your success?

I have put in a lot of work but more recently started taking my stuff seriously so I’m definitely out here trying to grind real hard.

Has there been any standout proud moment that you have had yet?

Just the experiences I have had and being able to me and connect with others.

Self-reflection and recognition of how far you’ve come can be hard for a lot of people because we usually don’t see the several things we have overcome as accomplishments. Looking back, what is one thing about you now that would make your younger self happy and proud? I’m becoming my authentic self.

Starting a new venture can be intimidating for a lot of people. What advice would you give someone who aspires to follow in your footsteps, but has some reservations about it?

Just start somewhere and write everything down and find your tribe

You’re obviously busy most of the time, but traveling is so important, especially in terms or recharging mentally and reshaping yout personal perspectives. What are some of the places you have been?

Jamaica Trinidad and Tobago Bahamas Los Angeles,CA New Orleans, LA Miami, Fl NYC,NY Chicago, Illinois Cincinnati, Ohio Montgomery, Alabama Birmingham, Alabama Orange beach, Alabama Memphis,Tennessee Korea Paris, France Panama

We love a traveler! All of those places are great with such rich history! Which was your favorite?

I can’t pick just one. I loved Jamaica because it was chill vibes and I got to meet people and it was my birthday. Trinidad and Tobago because I got to learn more about history and culture. I also loved my civil rights tour.

While traveling is seen as an escape for most, oftentimes issues of race, especially as a Black woman can impact travel experiences. What was your experience like as a black woman abroad? How were you treated?

I honestly haven’t had a bad experience traveling abroad. I was treated well being a black woman. I went to places that was populated by black people so it really wasn’t an issue traveling abroad.

What is one of the coolest things you have seen in your travels? Bonus Points if you have a picture!

Eiffel Tower, Panama Canal

What would be your dream destination and why?

Rome, Italy. The city of romance sounds beautiful and I love Italian food.

Do you have any fun travel plans coming up?

Going to essence festival.

Could you give our readers some insight into your business and what your role is?

I have a YouTube channel that showcases my travel and adulting. A podcast called Millennial Thoughts that talks about how we are affected in society. I also provide a service where I create personalized travel itineraries

Why is what you do important to you? What keeps you motivated and in love with what you do?

I believe that millennials get a bad rep so I wanted to have a safe space to talk about different issues and topics.

Inspiration is often essential to keeping motivation even in times that it would be easier to give up. Who or what is inspiring you right now?

I think a lot of travel bloggers are inspiring me now and seeing how you can create the life you want with hard work and dedication.

You encouraged people to not be afraid to take their first step in their ventures earlier. What inspired you to take the first step in your business/project?

I started off blogging after I studied abroad I realized that I like writing and wanted to showcase my experiences.

Thank you so much for your time, we love seeing you out here doing your thing and repping for Flyy Girls everywhere! Where can we find your products/project to offer support to your cause?
